Priestess: The Endless War

Keely never expected to fall in love.

A rising rock-star, Chance, reminded her what it was to laugh, feel, and be passionate. He reminded her of what it was to be a woman, not a fighter. Keely needed Chance. Keeping him in her life meant telling him the truth, but revealing her secret would expose him to the viciousness of her world.

Telling him her secret could risk his soul.


Here is another exception to my YA reviews only policy, because to not review Priestess: The Endless War would be a crime.

The story takes place in Tokyo, a place I know of, but know little about. Easterling not only takes you through an amazing story of love and war, but she takes the time to stop for a little cultural enlightenment in a way you won’t even realize you just learned something new about their traditions and even their language.

The romance between Keely and Chance is so incredibly authentic, compared to the numerous romance books you find in bookstores. Let’s be honest, when you buy a cheap romance novel and somebody asks you what you’re reading, you won’t be quick to answer, because the truth is in the title, like Passionate Cowboy, or Tempted by a Bad Guy or something of the sort.

Then you pick up Priestess: The Endless War, and it has everything you could possibly want, even the terrifying, stomach-dropping moments that force you to keep reading.

Priestess is one of those novels you pick up while browsing through a bookstore, only expecting to read the first page – but you are instantly sucked into the world of neverborn. The writing flows so well, it’s like being on a lazy river, and with great writing comes the awesome story and its well-rounded plot and sweet & spicy romance.


All right, I’ve brought up enough wonderful points, let’s look at the negative side:

Overall, I’m giving Easterling’s novel 5/5 stars. It had everything I love (romance, action, paranormal, etc)

I’m not gonna lie, I may be biased, because I did read her other novel Genesis Spell and that simply swept me away. It’s a longer novel, which would normally mean it would take me a while to finish, because, you know…life. But I finished Genesis Spell within a week.
